George Hostovich Obituary

George L. Hostovich, 75, of Finleyville, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, in AHN Jefferson Hospital.

He was born April 15, 1950 in New Eagle, a son of the late George and Willa Hostovich.

George retired from the former Mathies Mine where he worked as a coal miner.  He was avid reader and enjoyed fishing, outdoors, yardwork and taking rides in his Corvette. His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandsons.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years Marianne Hostovich; two daughters, Kim (Alan) Arencibia and Julianne Hostovich; two grandsons, Brandon and Derek Nyga; one brother Vaughn Hostovich; one niece, several nephews; and two sisters in law, Joanne (late Gene) Csukas and Patty (Mike) Havrilla.

All arrangements are private and under direction of Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., in Finleyville.  Memorial donations can be made to the Washington Area Humane Society 1527 S.R. 136 Eighty Four, PA 15330
