John “Jack” Schneider, 95, of Finleyville, passed away Wednesday February 4, 2026, in Paramount Senior Living, McMurray.
He was born April 10, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John and Alvina Schneider.
Jack was born and raised in Carrick and graduated from St. Basil’s High School. He retired as a systems analyst working for McGraw Edison and Pittsburgh Steel. Jack was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church where he served as a Lector and Usher, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and enjoyed Pittsburgh Sports.
Surviving are two sons; William (Linda) Schneider of Mechanicsburg and David Schneider of Finleyville, one granddaughter; Nichole (Daniel) Menezes of Mechanicsburg, one great-grandson Maximilian Menezes and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Deceased are his wife of 68 years Carol Schneider, brother; Robert (Sarah) Schneider, in laws John and Sarah Staab and sister-in-law Suzanna (Ronald) Pfaff.
Visitation will be held from 3-6pm Monday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Tuesday in St Francis of Assisi Church (St. John XXIII Parish) with interment following in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
